The study, representing a two year cooperative effort between BoR, Sandia and Jesse Roach (6926), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, presents the potential risks and impacts associated with climate change to water supplies and demands in the Rio Grande Basin above Caballo reservoir. Analysis suggests decreased basin inflows coupled to increased evaporative demands will make it difficult for New Mexico to meet downstream delivery obligations without changes to current water operation policies. The talk is free of charge and open to the public.
