Cassandra D'Antonio

Cassandra D'Antonio has over 20 years of experience as an environmental planner, manager, and regulatory compliance specialist in the transportation, water resources, defense, and land development sectors. She began her career at the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), where she worked in the Regulatory Branch issuing CWA Section 404 permits, and in the Environmental Branch writing NEPA documents and ESA Section 7 biological assessments for the Southwestern Willow Flycatcher and the Rio Grande silvery minnow. While at the USACE, she also developed and institutionalized the Albuquerque District's environmental protection construction specifications and their SWPPP procedures and guidelines.

Her professional experience also includes public outreach and involvement; conducting Phase I environmental site assessments and preliminary site investigations; CWA Sections 404 and 402 permitting; agency coordination and consultation; and participating and leading interdisciplinary collaborative teams. In addition to successfully accomplishing public involvement and outreach activities on high-profile controversial and complex projects with numerous public and private stakeholders with competing interests, she has also led the regulatory compliance activities on challenging projects and programs that presented numerous environmental constraints and required mitigation, approvals, and permits.
